About Bruce Wise
Originally from Charlotte, NC, I moved to New Bern in 1989, opened a design studio, and began a whole new chapter in my life. Twenty years later, in 2010, I divide my time between family and the design business, which I now operate from my home.

Beyond design, I’m a blogger, mentor, church member, and a “work in progress” photographer (spending much of my free time documenting historic New Bern or capturing the beautiful sunsets out on the OBX.

Logos... I do lots of logos... Here's a few of my favorites. See if you can identify any of them. (most are from the New Bern, NC area.)

I'm connected socially...

I’m a techno gadget freak, with my MacBook Air, iPod and iTouch and all that cool Apple stuff. And I love the internet, and all it has to offer.... with social media, blogging, on-line communities, photo-sharing, video-sharing, and the like. So, if it’s the latest innovation, or at least new and improved, I’m probably already plugged into it. I blog regularly, and I have an RSS newsfeed! I use Google pretty much for everything, I do my bookkeeping on-line and I use Skype and a web cam to collaborate with my other cyberspace workers (one of ‘em even lives and works in India!) ©Copyright is AUTOMATIC Technically a copyright is automatic, thanks to the Berne Convention. At the moment of creation, when the artwork is “fixed” in some tangible form, copyright applies automatically. For a photographer, when you press the shutter release you are making a photo and gaining copyright to that photo at the same time. You don’t have to declare copyright or file any paperwork. It is yours to keep until you explicitly give it away or you die (copyright expires after you, the duration in the U.S. is the author’s lifetime plus 70 years).
